Dare to Flare

A little over a month ago I purchased a pair of jeans, but not just your everyday blue jeans...flared jeans, like really flared jeans! The moment I saw them I knew they had to become a part of my wardrobe. Typically, I like to wear skinny jeans, but I just couldn't resist the amount of flare this pair of pants has. I knew right away that I wanted to center a blog around this pair of jeans and I'm just now getting around to it because I've been super busy with my new business venture, Kitschy Doodles. I've been getting a ton of custom orders as of late, as well as creating inventory for my online store, so my blog has suffered. But I hope to get back into my love for blogging and fashion. While I haven't been posting too much lately, I have set aside a list of blog topics, so stay tuned!

Anyway, for this post, it's all about the flare! I've put together a look of my own, as well as a couple of Polyvore sets inspired by flared jeans. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're inspired to rock the flare!

Dare to Flare

Flared jeans are usually linked back to the 70's; however, there is a way to style these pants with a 70's modern twist. These jeans can also be styled in many other ways. I found this sweater at a thrift shop and I just love it. I am all about patterned sweaters. Tucking this sweater in made all the difference. It brought focus to the high-rise style of these jeans. I tied in the black and brown from the sweater into my boho hat, sunglasses, lace choker, and brown suede boots.

I love the extra dark denim detail at the bottom of the pants. It's adds just the right amount of detail to the main focus of the jeans...the huge flare of course!

The combination of a knitted sweater and flared jeans created a "blast from the past" 70's look, while remaining modern by adding stylish and current accessories.

Polyvore
Dare to Flare: Look One

For this first Polyore set, I styled flared jeans with a striped off the shoulder top that has bell sleeves to mirror the jeans.
Dare to Flare: Look Two

For this second set, I paired a fun, floral embellished sweater with the flared jeans. I love this quirky look.

Thanks for stopping by! :) If you "dare to flare" I snagged my pair of flared jeans at Target and they are super comfortable. I also love the dark denim detail in the flare.
