All About Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Oh, the 14th of February! Such an anticipated date...well, for some. As we all know, there are many ways in which this holiday is celebrated, as well as many types of "Valentine's Day" girls. I have chosen four such types and created two looks for each of the following types: The Couple, The Anti-Valentine's Day Girl, The Out On the Town Girl, and of course The So Single Girl. So, not only did I decide to create looks based on different girls' views of V-Day, but also a spoof video interpreting those types of girls. Please keep in mind it is a SPOOF video and is an exaggerated depiction. Please enjoy both the looks and the video!

The Couple
Look 1: Casually Kiss Me
This look was styled around the idea that you have been dating someone for quite some time now and do not necessarily "have" to impress your significant other (although, that never gets old) and/or for the girl who likes to dress up casually, but still look sophisticated. This look captures the holiday with the lips sweater. I chose a fitted jacket to throw over this cute sweater and I love how the floral design complemented the sequins on the lips. The lips sweater is the casual and fun element of this look, and the jacket brings in the classic element. Along with the sweater, the ripped jeans are definitely casual as well. I threw on a pair of black polka dot tights (as seen in Denim + Lace = Perfection) and this added great detail to this outfit. For shoes, I chose a pair of gray suede booties to tie in the gray color from the jacket. And finally for accessories, I went with the cutest pair of lip earrings! Scored these at a thrift shop! This is my favorite look of the bunch, because it is both casual and dressy for a celebration of love!

The Couple
Look 2: Lovin' Lace & Leather
This look is perfect for a date with someone you just recently started dating and/or if you want to go for a look that is pretty dressy and classy. I chose a lace peplum top and a great pair of leather tights. I love the combination of these two textiles. The black leather really makes the piping on the lace top pop! For shoes, I went with a pair of black wedges. For accessories, I went with a necklace that says "You and Me" and a cameo ring that looks very romantic. This outfit is really simple, but also very classy. Perfect for date night!

Anti-Valentine's Day
Look 1: Dark & Studded

This look was inspired by the people who do not celebrate nor care for the holiday of Valentine's Day, for whatever reason. I picture this person wearing black and nothing but black. No red, pink, or purple in sight! So, for this look I went with an edgy vibe, so I chose my go-to black leather jacket, along with a leather studded tank top. For bottoms, I chose a pair of black pants. As for shoes, I went with my black wedges. This just screams anti-V-Day, don't you think?

Anti-Valentine's Day
Look 2: One Shade

For this look, I went with all black again, but in a more girly way. I chose a loose black top and a black athletic striped scuba skirt. For shoes, I went with my black chunky heels. For jewelry, I went with my black choker, of course! This look is very simple and is perfect for the girl who is against Valentine's Day!

Out On the Town
Look 1: Woo Girl Jumpsuit

Are you are single and proud of it? Then this flirty jumpsuit is perfect for a night out on the town with your girlfriends. What's nice about jumpsuits is you put it on, accessorize, and you're good to go! I chose a pop of color with the necklace and also chose it because it laid perfectly along the v-cut of the jumpsuit. For shoes, I chose a basic pair of black heels. I love this look, it's comfortable and chic!

Out On the Town
Look 2: Enamored & Edgy

For this look, I went with a more edgy look compared to look one. I went with a red leather jacket and a high-neckline tank top. For bottoms, I went with a denim pair of gauchos that I love! For shoes, I went with the black wedges. This look is perfect for the girl who wants to make a statement while being comfortable and cool!

So Single
Look 1: Kimono Kisses

"All the single ladies, put your hands up!" This look is for sitting on the couch while watching Netflix and eating snack after snack. Who says you can't look cute while doing so? I went with a heart crop top and threw on a silky floral kimono and it is so comfy! For pants, I went with a cropped pair of yoga pants. Whether you're out and about or on the couch during single awareness day, look your best and treat yourself, because you are AWESOME!

So Single
Look 2: Extra Cozy

This outfit is basically as comfortable as you can get. And look one's description goes for look two as well! Get cozy and realize you are loved! Never settle ladies!
